This romance book lover LOVED Book Lovers. Emily Henry has yet again written a fun, tension filled romance that had me unable to put down my book. This has two of my favorite themes: career woman and sister relationships. Book lovers features Nora a high powered literary agent who runs into her work enemy Charlie in a small town bar only to find he is from there! I always find some much depth in Emily Henry’s romance and love the secondary story of Nora’s relationship with her sister Libby. We see Nora’s struggle to not only care for her sister but also her struggle to protect her heart. I just loved the build up of intimacy and the struggle to balance to all the many roles women feel obligated to play! A must read for any romance novel lover

When I first started this book I had absolutely no idea what was happening then suddenly I realized I was being blown away. I cannot stop thinking about this masterpiece of a book for months. We get several perspectives (5) across 3 timelines (1400s, present area and the future) that interweave into a beautiful and heart wrenching story of the power of the stories we tell, the people and how those stories get handed down for generations. I love interweaving stories and Doerr more than delivers. He easily slides you through centuries and around the globe and leaves you earning to see where each story goes. If you love books and stories and the way they can lift us up and connect us to the past this book is for you. OBSESSED. The end.

Am I a freak for being OBSESSED with this book? probably. Am I completely blown away by this dark romance? YES. The audio dual point of view is executed perfectly. The Irish accent of Rowan; perfection. The slow build and sexual tension; delightful. The female lead Sloane is imperfect, funny with a wonderful internal monologue. This was dark, it was gory, it was sexy and it was utterly wonderful to read. I loved the audio and literally ordered the hardcover so I could read it again. The hints of the other books in trilogy were integrated wonderfully, how will I wait for them I do not know. My only complaint was there was some loose ends in the backstory but I hope those get revealed in the rest of the series.

his is technically a sequel but I think it works as a stand-alone(that is how I read it) and my first Abby Jimenez book. This takes us on the journey of Drs. Briana Ortiz & Jacob Maddox, the references to medicine did not drive me crazy so that is always a plus. The I love fake dating but Jacob and Briana were both horrible communicators and it drove me nuts. I enjoyed that both characters were flawed and the MALE main character Jacob had a lot of anxiety and self confidence issues that felt refreshing to read. Overall I enjoyed and am excited to read more of her books.

indy and Ryan, Indy and Ryan Indy and Ryan!!!! Tomforde gives us several of my favorite romance tropes including forced proximity and fake dating. I loved Indy, perhaps because her insecurity and flaws felt real and she was of course a romance reader. Ryan’s “quiet love” and acts of affirmation were wonderful and kept me wanting more. This was spicy with both this and Mile High have several explicit love scenes from both male and female perspectives. Also the epilogue gave us everything we didn’t know we needed!

As someone who has never really known anything about hockey, I find myself obsessed with hockey romance novels and boy did Tomforde deliver. A smutty, hockey romance starting NHL bad boy/ womanizer Zander who falls for sweet and sassy
Stevie. Their excellent banter and electric extracurriculars kept me addicted. The audio took me a few chapters to warm up to but the dual point benefited from both narrators. I sometimes avoid hyped up novels but this definitely lived up to expectations. My only negative was the length, some parts of the middle were extra long but overall it worked
